The Hysteria Project

Your project was a big part of changing the trajectory of my life, knowing that I wasn’t alone in my experience.

Thanks to the stories in The Hysteria Project, I was familiar with how much self-advocacy could be needed to get a diagnosis and useful treatment for menstrual issues. I am now living my best uterus-free life with more time and energy for myself and my family, in part thanks to The Hysteria Project.

Seeing my sick uterus as an art piece has been like breaking a curse. Now I visualize beauty when I think of it, even when in pain.

[THP] became a profound part of my healing journey, providing me with a safe space to share my experience, my sadness, my frustration with my country’s healthcare system, but also allowed me to explore and grow within. The dedication and passion that was put into this project made a difference in my life.

I just started reading a transcript you shared on your site for someone else with endo and adeno. I literally had to double check twice that it wasn’t my own. After all this time of being gaslit and not being believed, I really still struggle with understanding I’m not alone. It felt like it was straight out of my mouth.

Thank you to The Hysteria Project for sharing my story. It’s important we talk about these things so that something can be done.

Thank you! Following your project has made me more interested in women's health issues.
